I’ve already drawn up a plan for my next trip to Italy!! Rome, to be more specific, so I began the fun research work on this destination. It was in this “arduous task” 😉 that I came across wonderful news: Italy now has a new travel app that allows tourists to access free Wi-Fi.
With the name wifi.italia.it, this application allows accessing the internet without the need for a username or password. We no longer have to ask for a drink in the local cafe just to get the password for the Wi-Fi!
Residents and tourists rejoice! Access will be allowed in major public spaces, such as train stations, museums, hotels, and the main piazzas.
This travel app is free, comes in English or Italian, of course, and is available on the App Store and on Google Play. The only “downside” is that it’s still only available in the cities of Rome, Milan, Tuscany, Bari or Bologna. For more information, check the official website.
Governments of this world: Don’t you want to follow the example?
