From Rossio to Terreiro do Paço, passing through Chiado, the lights have been on since the beginning of the month bringing Christmas magic to the main shopping streets.
On Rua Augusta, the carousel horses ride slowly on top of the light poles. In Rua do Carmo, rain hats shed light in the smoke of the nut vendor; on Rua Garrett, the stars shine higher and Rua da Prata was filled with light bows.
One of the great novelties of this year is the big Christmas tree in the Terreiro do Paço, which can be visited from the inside (take a look at the video below).
Christmas in Lisbon with markets
Of course, in Praça do Município and in Rossio you can find the traditional Christmas markets. And, this year, Parque Eduardo VII hosts Wonderland, where, in addition to another market, you can find an ice rink and a big ferris wheel.
