In the pedestrian street of downtown Ericeira, you can now find the Pearl Oyster & Wine Bar. The project is a result of Mario and Petrina’s imagination, a couple that has long been rooted in this Portuguese village.
Mario owns the Magic Quiver store and the surf lounge with the same name, and together with Petrina have decided to make way for this new space that uses oysters as an excuse and travel as inspiration.
The narrow red building extends in height and, spread over three floors, are rooms that captivate the eye.
From wallpaper to paintings of maritime and land adventures, travel souvenirs or vintage furniture. The genres blend together and make the place even more special.
Oysters at the Pearl Oyster & Wine Bar, what else?
Of course, an oyster bar had to have… oysters. And these are divine!
Coming from various parts of the country, you can eat them au naturel, but I suggest you taste them with different flavors.
There’s with red wine, cherry, and red onion vinegar or with ginger, honey, soy, and lemon. But my favorites are those dipped in a Japanese rice vinaigrette, passion fruit and chili. Just wonderful!
If oysters were not enough, there are other dishes on the menu that draws inspiration from Asia and even Peru. Ceviches, tempura, and also Thai and Balinese salads come into play. And take note: don’t leave without trying the Crunchy Shrimp in Goa Bao… I’m already salivating!!
An experience to repeat
Don’t expect Pearl Oyster & Wine Bar to serve you a giant plate. That’s not the concept. Servings are ideal for a varied dining experience, so you can enjoy different flavors and share them in good company.
Of course, it’s also a wine bar, so you can enjoy the Pearl while having a drink or accompany all the dishes with a glass of good wine.
In addition to an outdoor terrace, on the top floor await us an attic with an incredible ambiance. In special days, maybe you can even find live music.
