Easter vacation is the first opportunity of the year to pack our bags and escape the home/work/home routine. Airbnb rolled up its sleeves, picked up the calculator, and figured out which top destinations in Europe are the most booked at this time.

Portugal and my Lisbon are on the list, but I’ll talk about that in a minute.

It’s time to pack your bags!

Although Europe dominates the ranking of most visited countries at this time of year, the United States of America dominates at the top of the ranking. In Lady Liberty’s country are expected more than 900,000 guests. France (350,000) is the next country, accompanied by Spain (310,000) and Great Britain (250,000).

As for the busiest cities this Easter, Paris heads the list, followed by London, Rome, and Barcelona.

What about Lisbon?

Lisbon is right there, in 5th place, followed by Madrid, one of the European cities that seems to gain ground in the preferences of the Airbnb platform customers.

Furthermore, Portugal appears in 11th place in the top destinations in Europe this Easter, with a projection of 92,000 guests looking for the excellent climate characteristic of this Portuguese corner of the world.
