In one of my last trips to Évora (Portugal) I found a restaurant that was a very good surprise: Tasquinha do Oliveira.
The starting point was Tripadviser and then it was just a matter of finding this small restaurant, a few steps away from the city center.
The awards on the walls leave no room for doubt. The food must be good … And it was!
On the menu, dishes that follows the best Alentejo tradition. And who am I to go against traditions. 😉
For starters, cod patinasses and small quail eggs. For main dishes a cod rice and pork cheeks arrived at the table.
Last but not least, a local delicacy: sericaia with plum!
It’s not really a place for more restrained wallets and offering few tables it requires you to arrive early. But the meal makes up for these less favorable aspects.
Does anyone have more tips for restaurants in Évora for me to go try on in my next visit? Let the suggestion in the comments box below.
