Travel Notes Podcast: Flores, the most beautiful island in the Atlantic

I start 2023 with a new episode of Travel Notes; this time, the destination is the island of Flores in the Azores.

The visit took place in 2021 and was part of a more extensive trip that included other islands of the Portuguese archipelago: Corvo, São Jorge, Faial, Pico and São Miguel.

But it is Flores that the followers of Marlene On The Move’s Instagram wanted to hear about (I did a quiz, and the island won), and it is with her that I start the new season of the podcast.

Changes to the best travel podcast

If you have followed Notas de Viagem, you will notice that the travel podcast has changed. This is because it’s now in English.

I’m Portuguese, proud of it, and I love my language. However, at the beginning of the year, I noticed that in 2022, countless listeners searched for the Travel Notes and possibly passed on because it was in Portuguese.

So starting in 2023, Notas de Viagem will be called Travel Notes and done in English.

As English is one of the world’s most spoken languages, I believe this change will not create a dent among the Portuguese-speaking public. However, for those who prefer the Portuguese content, I will always add the respective transcription in the post (Portuguese version) here on the blog.
